Yes — NDIS Employment is a thing, but it's not a single program or funding line. It refers to the range of employment-related supports available to NDIS participants to help them prepare for work, get a job, and stay employed.
Employment supports can be funded through a participant’s plan — under different categories, depending on their age, goals, and circumstances. But too often, this funding is misunderstood or misused. Some providers turn them into years of preparation without progress.
The NDIS was never meant to be charity. It’s not a handout, and it’s not there to keep people in programs forever. As Minister Bill Shorten put it, “The NDIS is not welfare — it’s an investment in people with disability, so they can participate fully in the community and in work” (June 2024).
That distinction matters. Because when employment stops being treated as optional, and starts being treated as a right, everything shifts — expectations, outcomes, and futures.
The numbers don’t lie.
Too many young people with disability are stuck in the gap between education and employment — not because they can’t work, but because the system doesn’t expect them to..
It’s time to change the stats — not by talking about employment, but by creating it. One supported role at a time.

Depending on the plan and goals, employment support through the NDIS may include:
We offer a wide range of job opportunities in different industries, including our Gardening Pathway, our Cleaning Pathway, and our Promotions Pathway.
NDIS Participants who either self-manage or plan manage their NDIS funding.
If you're an NDIS participant, our services are funded through your plan — either under SLES, Finding and Keeping a Job, or Core Supports, depending on your goals and circumstances.
There’s no out-of-pocket fee for participants using appropriate NDIS funding. We work closely with participants, carers, and support coordinators to ensure the right funding is in place before any work begins. If you’re unsure what your plan includes, we can help you navigate it.
Many of our participants begin with SLES, then move into paid roles supported by FAKAJ or Core Supports. We help families and coordinators navigate this transition — making sure progress doesn’t stall when funding changes.
