Insight is Powerful — Implementation Creates Change.

NDIS ADVOCACY & REVIEW  PREPARATION

The issue is no longer diagnosis alone. The issue is demonstrating impact.

When the stakes are high, preparation matters.

ADVOCACY SERVICES

WE SIT BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGY & SUPPORT WORK

We help neurodivergent adults and their carers turn insight into action, with planning, structure and follow-through in real life.

We work under the guidance of psychologists and other providers and help you implement their recommendations.

We also help people navigate NDIS reviews, funding systems and major life decisions where preparation and evidence matter.

Not therapy. Not support work.

This is structured implementation between appointments.

THE IMPLEMENTATION GAP

If progress keeps stalling between appointments, this is exactly the gap we help close.

REVIEWS. REASSESSMENTS. CHANGE REQUESTS

The rules have changed.

Today, funding decisions are increasingly influenced by evidence, functional capacity and demonstrated support needs.

For many NDIS participants, the challenge isn't proving they have a disability. it's showing how that disability affects everyday life, independence, participation and safety.

Good preparation can make a significant difference.

We help participants gather evidence organise information, identify support gaps and present a clear picture of their support needs before important decisions are made.

CONSULTING, MENTORING

& ADVOCACY

Supporting someone you love can mean coordinating appointments, systems, and decisions — often while holding everything together at home.

We provide practical planning, advocacy and follow-through so you're not managing it all alone.

Clarity, structure, and support for the road ahead.

(Use NDIS Capacity-Building Supports, SLES or Finding & Keeping a Job, or Self-funding)

You've done the therapy. Now you need real-world follow-through.

We help turn recommendations into practical steps — planning, problem-solving and advocacy in daily life.

We can also help prepare for NDIS reviews, reassessments and funding decisions where evidence and organisation matter.

Less overwhelm. More progress.

(Use NDIS Capacity-Building Supports, SLES or Finding & Keeping a Job, or self-funding)

REAL PROGRESS. REAL PEOPLE.

What our clients are saying about us.

Mentoring has changed everything for our family. For years, we struggled to turn recommendations into real opportunities for our son. Through structured mentoring and advocacy, he now has meaningful work, earns a wage, and comes home proud of what he's achieved. Watching him grow in confidence has been incredible.

As my son's carer I struggled with his ADHD for years. I started working with a mentor last year. Through her structured planning sessions, we now make important decisions together. It's been a weight off. I'm very grateful for her support and skilled coaching.

I been seeing my mentor for 2 months. She talked to my doctors and gathered the right evidence for my NDIS review. She even spoke to the lady for me. I felt organised and confident, and I got more money which means I can do D&D now.

I like working outside. I mow lawns and plant flowers. My boss has someone helping me. My mentor talks to my boss when I feel upset. I feel proud what I can do now.

FAQ

Please email us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Ability Pathways provides structured implementation mentoring and advocacy for neurodivergent adults and the people who support them.

We sit between therapy and support work — turning clinical insight into practical action in real life, at work, and between appointments.

Yes. Gathering the right data that communicates your daily functional impact needs is now critical to this process. We help participants organise evidence, identify support gaps, prepare for meetings and clearly communicate how disability impacts daily life.

We do not make funding decisions or provide legal advice, but we can support participants through the preparation process and attend meetings where appropriate.

We work with:

  • Adults with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia and other neurodivergence
  • Carers and partners navigating bureaucracy and other complex systems
  • Therapists who want stronger follow-through between sessions
  • Employers seeking practical inclusion strategies

If progress keeps stalling despite good intentions — this is likely for you.

Therapy focuses on insight.

Support work focuses on assistance.

We focus on implementation.

We don't diagnose, provide clinical treatment, or deliver plan coordination. Instead, we translate insight into structured action — planning, problem-solving, advocacy, and follow-through in real life.

This is where progress stops resetting and starts building momentum.

Common areas include:

  • Executive functioning and follow-through
  • Workplace communication and inclusion
  • Managing expectations and responsibilities
  • Navigating NDIS, Centrelink and other funding systems
  • Preparing for difficult conversations
  • Turning recommendations into clear next steps

If you have NDIS funding, services may be delivered under relevant Capacity Building supports or Finding and Keeping a Job, depending on your plan and goals.

Plans must be self-managed or plan-managed.

Sessions can also be self-funded, or your employer, where appropriate.

If you are unsure, we'll clarify options before anything begins.

Start with a short call to clarify what's happening and whether we're the right fit.

If appropriate, we'll book an Initial Consultation to map the next steps and create a practical plan.

No pressure. No hard sell. Just clarity.

Not yet. Our NDIS Registration is in progress. In the meantime, we can provide support for people who are self-managed, plan-managed, or self-funded. All services are structured under approved NDIS line items ensuring compliance and transparency.

We are based in the ACT, with sessions available in Deakin (Tuesdays) and Charnwood (Thursdays).

For advocacy support within the Greater Canberra region, we can attend relevant appointments or workplaces with you.

If you're outside the ACT, we work Australia-wide via secure video or phone.

To the timid and hesitating. Everything seems impossible,

until it's done.
