Our goal is to provide NDIS participants who have high barriers to open employment to get their first paid job by providing them with 24 months of paid employment, matching their capacity and needs with experienced people who act as their Supported Employment Mate.

With real paid work, one-on-one mentoring, and a clear path to open employment, Ability Pathways' Launchpad helps turn confidence into action and dreams into independence.
A step-by-step path to ongoing employment
MONTHS 1-6 | Real Work Begins
Receive on-the-job training and start doing real jobs for real clients. You'll be matched with a Supported Employment Mate, who works alongside you in one of our supported employment giving you on-the-job training in Cleaning, Promotions or Outdoor Maintenance. Every shift is paid, supported and designed to build your capacity for employment and workplace confidence.
We don't train you to work. We PAY YOU to work, and you learn by doing.
MONTHS 6-12 | Building Routine & Responsibility
You continue working regularly with your crew while building independence and consistency. Your Supported Employment Mate stays by your side, helping you develop key workplace habits and social confidence.
GOAL: Reach your 12-month employment milestone with a strong track record and growing skills.

A 52-WEEK JOURNEY WITH FAMILIAR SUPPORT
After completing 12 months of supported employment with Ability Pathways, you’ll enter Launchpad—a 52-week program designed to help you transition into open employment, with the ongoing support of your regular Supported Employment Mate. We don’t rush the process—we guide it, step by step, at a pace that works for you.
THE LAUNCHPAD PROGRAM INCLUDES:
- Continued paid work through Ability Pathways
- Weekly support from your Supported Employment Mate
- Strength-based planning and goal setting
- Resume and interview preparation
- Job search support and employer introductions
- Help trialling roles and building confidence
- Encouragement, feedback, and next-step coaching

A 2-YEAR PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR NDIS PARTICIPANTS WHO:
- Are ready for the next step in their employment journey.
- Have ongoing employment as one of their NDIS goals.
- Have significant barriers to open employment and need 1:1 support maintain employment.
- Have an NDIS plan that includes funding for finding and keeping a job.
- Want to grow their career into mainstream supported employment.
